OVERVIEW

The Indian landmass is one of the greenest and thriving locations for a range of flora, fauna and bird life. The eastern part of India has many natural treasures in the form of wildlife. On the contrary, the 2/3rd population of the One-horned Rhinoceros belong to this region. The ‘Wild East India’ tour package has been designed to let you explore the exquisite fauna species of the wildlife parks in the eastern region. During the 10 days and 9 night’s journey, you will be visiting Nameri National Park, famous for its elephant population, and Kaziranga National Park, the sole of the One-horned Rhinoceros. Also included in the itinerary is the visit to Namdapha National Park in Arunachal Pradesh.

DAY 1
ARRIVAL IN GUWAHATI

After arrival at Guwahati Airport, meet our DIH representative who’ll escort you to the one of our listed hotels in Guwahati. Check-in at the hotel to relax in the cozy comfort of its room. Famously regarded as the gateway to North-East India, Guwahati is the largest city in the state of Assam. It is also the largest metropolis in the entire North-Eastern region of India. You will be amazed to see colorful crowds moving through public places like markets. In the evening you may venture out to explore the pulsating nightlife of Guwahati. Rest of the day free to relax at hotel. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel in Guwahati.

DAY 2
GUWAHATI - NAMERI

Post breakfast and drive to the most beautiful parks of Assam, Nameri national Park covering an area of 200 Sq. Kms nestled at the foothills of Eastern Himalayas. It is the most scenic of all the national parks of Assam. Its in the eastern border of Assam in the valley and mountainous Arunachal Pradesh.

On arrival check into, camp. Evening explore the surrounding around the camp site. Enjoy an overnight stay at the camp in Nemari.

DAY 3
NAMERI

Early morning, enjoy an elephant ride in the Nameri National Park. Nameri is home to some of the endangered species like white winged wood duck, Sloth Bear, Tiger Leopard, Clouded Leopard, Sambar, Gaur, Indian Wild Dog, four varieties of Hornbill and many other winged species. Later, return for a picnic lunch alongside the river. Thereafter, enjoy rafting and angling in the river Jia Bhoroli. Later, return to the camp. Enjoy an overnight stay at the camp in Nemari.

DAY 4
NAMERI - KAZIRANGA

Today after breakfast we will leave for the Rhino country, Kazirnaga national park which is mainly famous for Indian one Horned Rhinoceros. Located on the banks of the mighty Brahmaputra River in the far North East of India, Assam, with covering an area of approximately 430-sq-kms, with its swamps and tall thickets of grass, making Kaziranga National Park the ideal habitat for the Indian One-Horned Rhino. On arrival check in at the wildlife resort. In the afternoon Jeep safari to the National park for wildlife viewing. Enjoy an overnight stay at the resort in Kaziranga.

DAY 5
KAZIRANGA

Early morning, venture out to explore the central area of the Kaziranga National Park via elephant safari. Post lunch, enjoy jeep safari in the central area of the Kaziranga National Park. Apart from the great one horned Indian Rhino, the other major wild attractions Indian Bison, Swamp Deer or Barasingha, Hog Deer, Sloth Bears, Tigers, Leopard Cats, Jungle Cats, Otters, Hog Badgers, Capped Langurs, Hoolock Gibbons, Wild Boar, Jackal, Wild Buffalo, Pythons, Monitor Lizards, etc. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Enjoy an overnight stay at the resort in Kaziranga.

DAY 6
KAZIRANGA

Early morning, visit the nearby Tea Estate and a tribal village to explore the lifestyle of villagers. Thereafter, return back to have breakfast. Post breakfast, enjoy a jeep safari in the eastern part of the national park. We will continue with our wild safari with kaziranga on the consecutive day to explore the more wildlife. After wildlife sightseeing, have packed lunch. Enjoy an overnight stay at the resort in Kaziranga.

DAY 7
KAZIRANGA - DIBRUGARH

Post breakfast drive towards Dibrugarh, famous for its tea estate. On reaching Dibrugarh, check in at the host bungalow. In the evening, enjoy a hot cup of tea in the verandah. Enjoy an overnight stay at the resort in Dibrugarh

DAY 8
DIBRUGARH - NAMDAPHA

Post breakfast in the morning, venture out to visit the tea factory and witness the procedure of extracting tea. Thereafter, leave by road for Namdapha. On the way, have lunch at Tinsukia. Upon arrival at Namdapha National Park, check in at the resort to relax. Enjoy an overnight stay at the resort in Namdapha.

DAY 9
NAMDAPHA

Early morning, enjoy elephant safari in the national park and explore its wilderness. In the afternoon, enjoy angling. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Enjoy an overnight stay at the resort in Namdapha.

DAY 10
NAMDAPHA - DIBRUGARH

Today, with timely assistance, you will be transferred to the Dibrugarh airport to board flight for onward destination. The tour ends with the sweet memories with Delightful India Holidays.
