Fatehpur Sikri is a magnificent enclosed city approximately 40 km from Agra. It was once the capital city of the Mughal Empire. The enigmatic structure is carved from red sandstone. It was built by Mughal Emperor Akbar the Great in the 16th century. This city is also the perfect example of Indo-Islamic architecture. Explore the glorious courtyards, audience halls, palaces and other sacred places of the building.
Abhaneri : Abhaneri, which is famous for Chand Baori step-well. it is one of India’s largest and deepest step-wells. The place is widely popular as it is home to a colossal stepwell, Chand Baori, which is considered among the most beautiful stepwells of India. The village of Abhaneri is believed to have been established by Samrat Mihir Bhoj who was a Gurjar Pratihar king. The village was originally named Abha Nagri, which means the “city of brightness”; however, with time, due to mispronunciation of the term, it has changed to Abhaneri.
