Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Delightful India Holidays, we strive to provide exceptional travel experiences and personalized services. We understand that travel plans may change unexpectedly. This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations, modifications, and refunds are handled for all bookings made with us.

By booking any tour or travel service with Delightful India Holidays, you agree to the terms outlined below.


1. Booking Confirmation

Your booking will be considered confirmed only after:

  • Receipt of the required advance payment.

  • Written confirmation from Delightful India Holidays.

  • Availability of hotels, transportation, guides, and other requested services.

Until confirmation is issued, no reservation is guaranteed.


2. Payment Policy

  • A minimum advance payment is required to confirm every booking.

  • The remaining balance must be paid before the start of the tour unless otherwise agreed.

  • Payments can be made through Bank Transfer, UPI, Credit Card, Debit Card, or other approved payment methods.

  • Any bank transaction charges, payment gateway fees, currency conversion charges, or international transfer fees are the responsibility of the customer.


3. Cancellation by the Customer

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email.

Cancellation charges are generally as follows:

Certain hotels, luxury trains, flights, safari permits, festival bookings, and special event reservations may have stricter cancellation policies, which will override the above schedule.


4. Non-Refundable Services

The following services are generally non-refundable once booked:

  • Flight Tickets

  • Train Tickets

  • Safari Permits

  • Monument Entry Tickets

  • Visa Fees

  • Travel Insurance

  • Government Taxes

  • Processing Fees

  • Special Event Tickets

  • Peak Season Reservations

  • Festival Bookings

Refunds for these services depend entirely on the respective service provider’s cancellation policy.


5. Customized Tour Packages

Our customized itineraries are planned exclusively for each traveler.

Planning fees, consultation charges, itinerary design costs, and supplier booking charges may not be refundable once work has commenced.


6. Changes to Your Booking

If you wish to modify your itinerary after confirmation:

  • Requests will be accommodated subject to availability.

  • Additional costs may apply.

  • Any increase in hotel rates, transport charges, taxes, or supplier fees will be payable by the customer.


7. Cancellation by Delightful India Holidays

In rare circumstances, we may need to cancel a tour due to:

  • Natural disasters

  • Government restrictions

  • Political unrest

  • Pandemic situations

  • Force majeure events

  • Insufficient operational requirements

In such cases, customers may choose either:

  • A full refund of payments received for services not provided, or

  • An alternative travel date or package (subject to availability).

We shall not be responsible for any indirect expenses such as flight tickets booked separately, visa costs, travel insurance, or personal purchases.


8. Refund Process

Eligible refunds will be processed after:

  • Receiving confirmation from hotels, transport providers, airlines, or other suppliers.

  • Deducting applicable cancellation charges.

  • Deducting non-refundable government fees and taxes.

Refunds will be made using the original payment method wherever possible.


9. Refund Processing Time

Refunds are generally processed within 7–21 business days after confirmation from all concerned service providers.

International bank transfers or card refunds may take additional time depending on your bank or payment provider.


10. No Refunds Will Be Issued For

  • Unused hotel nights

  • Missed sightseeing tours

  • Late arrivals

  • Early departures

  • Missed transportation

  • Voluntary tour termination

  • Personal reasons

  • Illness without travel insurance coverage

  • Weather-related disruptions beyond our control


11. Force Majeure

No refunds shall be payable for delays, cancellations, or interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Earthquakes

  • Floods

  • Heavy Rainfall

  • Desert Storms

  • Landslides

  • Epidemics

  • Pandemics

  • Government Restrictions

  • Civil Unrest

  • Terrorism

  • War

  • Airline Strikes

  • Road Closures

We will, however, make every reasonable effort to arrange suitable alternatives whenever possible.


12. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering:

  • Trip Cancellation

  • Medical Emergencies

  • Flight Delays

  • Lost Baggage

  • Personal Accidents

  • Emergency Evacuation

Travel insurance can help recover costs that may not be refundable under this policy.
