Overview

Experience the wildlife and the nature through an extraordinary location of Sundarbans. Sundarban is one of the most popular and the largest single block of tidal halophytic mangrove forest in the world, which is the part of world`s biggest river basins formed by Ganga river, Brahmaputra and Meghna in the Bay of Bengal. Sunderban is Tiger Reserve, Biosphere Reserve and a National Park located in West Bengal. It is one of the largest reserves of India which is the home of the Bengal tiger. The sanctuary is surrounded by dense mangrove forests. Sundarban is also the home of a large number of reptiles, invertebrate species such as salt-water crocodile. ‘Short Escape to Sunderban’ will give you the chance to explore Sundarbans Tiger Reserve Sanctuary.

ITINERARY

DAY 1 KOLKATA – SUNDARBANS NATIONAL PARK

Early morning, pick up from advised location in Kolkata, then drive to Sunderban, which is a place where soil meets the ocean. Upon your arrival at Sundarbans, proceed for administrative formalities and then you will be transferred by motor boat passing through different rivers to your pre-reserved resort located in the Sundarbans islands. Check-in at your resort and relax.

Post Lunch, proceed for a motor boat ride to witness the wilderness of Sundarbans National Park. During the ride observe the wildlife by visiting the popular places like Sajnekhali Watchtower& Museum and Mangrove Interpretation Centre. During sunset, back to your Hotel and relax.

Enjoy an overnight stay at the resort in Sundarbans.

DAY 2 SUNDARBANS NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, you spend the whole day cruising. You proceed to the canopied walk at Dobanki and further to Netidhopani, here you can see the ancient excavations and watch a game from the height of the watchtower. You can spot some animals from there, mostly the tigers as they are in abundance here.

There is a great possibility to witness the Estuarine Crocodiles and the Dolphins of Irrawady. Lunch is served on board and late in the evening you return to the resort after watch the beautiful view of the setting sun. Then the local villagers are ready with their performance based on the old popular Myth. Your day ends with your retiring for the day.

DAY 3 SUNDARBANS NATIONAL PARK - KOLKATA

This is the last day of your tour. Today morning, get transferred to the Kolkata airport to catch the flight for onward destination. The tour ends with the sweet memories with Delightful India Holidays.
