Overview
One of the pride representatives of Indian architectural heritage, Ajanta & Ellora are two architectural marvels which has been carved out of rock with the use of hammers and chisels. These caves were discovered by the British army officer John Smith during a hunting expedition in the year 1819. 5 nights and 6 days Architectural Gems of India-Ajanta & Ellora’ has been designed to provide you with a glimpse of these two UNESCO World Heritage Sites. ITINERARY
DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN MUMBAI
After arrival at Mumbai Airport, meet our DIH representative who’ll escort you to the one of our listed hotels in Mumbai. Check-in at the hotel to relax in the cozy comfort of its room. In the evening you may venture out to explore the pulsating nightlife of Mumbai.

DAY 2: MUMBAI - AURANGABAD
Post breakfast in the morning, set off to explore the tourist attractions in Mumbai which include a visit to the Gateway of India and the local bazaars. Later, you’ll be drive to Aurangabad. Upon arrival in Aurangabad, you’ll be transferred to the hotel.

DAY 3: AURANGABAD
In the morning, enjoy a full day excursion to the Ajanta Caves. 30 in number, the Ajanta Caves is a group of Buddhist monasteries and house a vast collection of art, paintings and scriptures.

DAY 4: AURANGABAD
Post breakfast in the morning, embark on a sightseeing tour of Ellora Caves, Aurangabad Caves and Daulatabad Fort. 34 in number, the Ellora Caves represent three different religions such as Buddhism, Hinduism and Jainism. On the other hand, the 9 Buddhist caves and Viharas at the Aurangabad Caves are known for Tantric influences.

DAY 5: AURANGABAD - MUMBAI
Today, you will be transferred back to Mumbai. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel. Later, proceed on a sightseeing excursion to the Elephanta Caves.

DAY 6: DEPARTURES FROM MUMBAI
Post breakfast in the morning, set off for a sightseeing tour of Mumbai. Visit the Prince of Wales Museum, Juhu Beach and Hanging Gardens. In the evening, you will be given assistance for transfer to the international airport to board flight for onward destination. The tour ends with the sweet memories with Delightful India Holidays.
