Overview

6 Days Agra with Central India tour package of 5 nights and 6 days will give you a chance to visit two extremely well-known UNESCO world heritage sites-The Taj Mahal and the Khajuraho temple. Taj Mahal is not a few attractions to explain. It is a world wonder marble mausoleum in Agra. There are a lot of other attractions in Agra too. Taj Mahal is a proof of architectural brilliance of the Mughals. This 6 day tour allows to viewing various points of interest in five major tourist destinations in central India – Agra, Jhansi, Orchha, Gwalior and Khajuraho.  Apart from this, there are a few medieval age monuments in Khajuraho. The Khajuraho set of temples are considered to a world heritage site. Khajuraho temples were built during the Chandela rulers. Another important tourist attraction is Orchha temple, Gwalior Fort.

ITINERARY

DAY 1 DELHI - AGRA

After arrival at Delhi Airport, meet our DIH representative who’ll escort you and straightly drive to Agra. On arrival, check in to your hotel and complete the check-in formalities. Your post lunch sightseeing is going to include visits to the Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort. One of the Seven Wonders of the World, The Taj Mahal, was built on the orders of Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan. He had built this white-colored marble mausoleum in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Agra Fort, also known as Red Fort is a UNESCO world heritage site. Also visit the Itimad-Ud-Daulah’s Tomb. Both the Agra Fort and Itimad-Ud-Daulah’s Tomb are famous for their brilliant architecture.

Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel in Agra.

Begin this morning with an alluring view of the Taj Mahal during sunrise. Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, is the most extravagant monument ever built. After exploring the epitome of love, return to the hotel for breakfast and then check out. 

Later leave for Orchha. En-route stop at Jhansi to visit the Jhansi Fort and The Government Museum. The museum showcases the weapons, statues and dresses used during the Chandela dynasty. It also features a picture gallery of the Gupta period. After the visit, resume drive to Orchha. Upon reaching Orchha, check-in at one of our listed hotels. Evening at leisure. Dinner and Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel in Orchha.

On the 3rd day of the tour, Post breakfast, proceed for sightseeing of Orchha, step out to visit the major tourist attractions of Orchha like the Jehangiri Mahal, the Raj Mahal and the Laxminarayan temple that are famous for their fine frescoes and mural paintings.

Later drive straight to Khajuraho. Upon arrival, check-in at one of our listed hotels. Evening at leisure. Dinner and Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel in Khajuraho.

On the 4th day of the tour, Post breakfast, proceed on a guided tour to Khajuraho. Start driving towards the group of famous Chandela dynasty temples. These temples are known worldwide for their spectacular, erotic sculptures and carvings depicting verses from the Kamasutra. The Western Group of Temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu includes the Kandariya Mahadeo temple, the Matangesvara Temple , the Lakshmana Temple, and the Varaha Temple.

Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel in Khajuraho.

Next morning after breakfast, leave for Gwalior. Upon reaching Gwalior, check-in at one of our listed hotels. After resting and relaxing for a while, step out to visit the major tourist attractions of Gwalior covering Gwalior fort, Sas-Bahu temples and the Archaeological Museum.

Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel in Gwalior.

Post breakfast, get transferred to Agra railway station to board the Train to Delhi. On arrival, get transferred to the airport to catch a flight for your onward journey. The tour ends with the sweet memories with Delightful India Holidays.
