Lure of the Jungle, a tour package of 19 nights and 20 days, offers you a chance to explore the diverse wildlife of India along with visiting its well-known destinations. On your tour, you visit wildlife reserves at Sawai Madhopur (Ranthambhore), Shivpuri, Bandhavgarh and Kanha. The itinerary also includes sightseeing in places like Delhi, Jaipur, Agra, Gwalior, Orchha as well as Khajuraho.

DAY 1
ARRIVAL IN DELHI

After arrival at Delhi Airport, meet our DIH representative who’ll escort you to the one of our listed hotels in Delhi. Check-in at the hotel to relax in the cozy comfort of its room. Delhi the capital city of India is always alive with activity. You will be amazed to see colorful crowds moving through public places like markets. In the evening you may venture out to explore the pulsating nightlife of Delhi. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel in Delhi.

DAY 2
DELHI

After having your breakfast in the morning, leave for a full day sightseeing tour of Delhi. On the 2nd day of the tour, embark on a city tour of Delhi. The major tourist attractions scheduled for the day are Qutab Minar, Red Fort, India Gate, the Jama Masjid, Humanyun Tomb, President’s House, Lotus Temple and Chandni Chowk. In the evening revisit Red Fort to witness the impressive light and sound show. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel in Delhi.

DAY 3
DELHI - JAIPUR

Post breakfast, drive straight to Jaipur. Upon arrival, check-in at one our enlisted hotels. Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan and is also called the Pink City. The reason for this is that most of the monuments in Jaipur are painted pink. Later in the day explore some other major tourist attractions of Jaipur including the Monkey Temple, Albert Hall Museum, and Birla Mandir. Evening to be spent as to your liking. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel in Jaipur.

DAY 4
JAIPUR

After having your breakfast in the morning, leave for exploring the various colors of this beautiful city, Jaipur. Jaipur is full of attractions that speak volumes about the glory of Rajputana kingdom. These attractions form a part of our itinerary and we start with visiting the Amber Fort which is tucked over a hill (reached via an elephant ride). Next we will be visiting the Jantar Mantar astronomical observatory, splendid Hawa Mahal built on the architectural principles of a natural cooling system and splendiferous City Palace and Jal Mahal. Enjoying the local treats like shopping, food and rickshaw ride are reserved for evening.Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel in Jaipur.

DAY 5
JAIPUR – RANTHAMBHORE NATIONAL PARK

Today, hit the road to Ranthmabhore National Park, one of India’s largest national parks. The park is home to a good population of the big cats. On arrival, complete the check -in formalities at your lodge. Have lunch and leave for a wildlife safari in the afternoon. Explore the diverse wildlife of the jungle. Enjoy an overnight stay at the lodge in Ranthambhore.

DAY 6
RANTHAMBHORE NATIONAL PARK

All of day 6 is scheduled for jungle activities. During the safari, you may spot animal species such as Hulman, Indian wild boar, spotted deer, tiger, Sambar deer, along with around 270 species of birds. You can also indulge in a nature walk. Enjoy an overnight stay at the lodge in Ranthambhore.

DAY 7
RANTHAMBHORE NATIONAL PARK - AGRA

Once you have your breakfast, leave by road for Agra. On the way, stop to explore the old deserted Mughal capital of Fatehpur Sikri, erected by Emperor Akbar. This UNESCO World Heritage Site with houses several structural elements. The city highlights some of the iconic structures of the Mughal era. Later, drive towards Agra. On reaching Agra, check-in to the hotel and later proceed to see sunset at Taj from Mehtab Bagh Garden. Return to the hotel in the evening. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel in Agra.

DAY 8
AGRA - GWALIOR

Early morning visit the Taj Mahal, the seventh wonder of the world and admire for its majestic and magnificent architecture design. This alluring white marble monument with intricate designs in its interiors never fails to enchant a visitor. Later visit the Pearl Mosque and the tomb of Itamad-ud-Daula built by Empress Noorjehan in memory of her father. Another must watch architectural wonder, is The Red Fort that is frequented by hundreds of visitors every day.

Later drive for Gwalior. Upon reaching Gwalior, check-in at one of our listed hotels. After resting and relaxing for a while, step out to visit the major tourist attractions of Gwalior covering Gwalior fort, Sas-Bahu temples and the Archaeological Museum. Return to the hotel in the evening for an overnight stay in Gwalior.

DAY 9
GWALIOR - SHIVPURI

After breakfast, begin driving towards Shivpuri, the former summer capital of the Scindia rulers of Gwalior. Upon arrival, check- in your hotel. The afternoon is free to relax or indulge in leisure activities like interacting with the locals, relishing the local delicacies and exploring the surroundings on foot. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel in Shivpuri.

DAY 10
SHIVPURI

Day 10, post breakfast, is for a visit to the Madhav National Park, one of those national parks in India that is open throughout the year. The park is home to a variety of antelopes like Chowsinga, Nilgai and Chinkara as well as Deer including species like Barking Deer, Chital and Sambar. The other animal species that you can spot during the safari include Leopard, Porcupine, Wolf, Fox, Wild Dog, Jackal, Wild Pig, Python and Marsh Crocodile. You can also enjoy boating in the Sakhya Sagar Lake. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel in Shivpuri.

DAY 11
SHIVPURI - ORCHHA

The morning of day 11 is for visiting Karera Bird Sanctuary that houses around 245 species of birds. This sanctuary is home to the ever elusive avifauna species- the Great Indian Bustard. Indulge in Bird watching where you may spot bird species like black-bellied river terns, egrets as well as spoonbills etc. After lunch, begin driving to Orchha. On reaching, check- in your hotel. The day is free for leisure activities. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel in Orcha.

DAY 12
ORCHHA

The 12th day of the tour is for covering the attractions in Orchha. Visit Jahangir Mahal, also known as Rani Mahal – a beautiful palace erected during the 17th century, Raj Mahal – constructed during the 17th century, this palace was the royal residence of the erstwhile kings of Orchha and Phool Bagh – a garden erected as a memorial for the Prince of Orchha, Dinman Hardaul. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel in Orcha.

DAY 13
ORCHHA - KHAJURAHO

After breakfast, begin driving to Khajuraho. On arrival, complete the check -in formalities at your hotel. After lunch, explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Eastern and Western Group of temples that includes Laxmi and Varha Temples, Kandariya Mahadev, Devi Jagdamba temples. Glorifying erotica, these temples were erected during the reign of Chandela rulers. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel in Khajuraho.

DAY 14
KHAJURAHO - BANDHAVGARH

On day 14 leave by road for Bandhavgarh National Park. One of the country’s most well-known parks, it has one of the highest densities of tiger population. It also has a large breeding population of different species of deer and leopards. Once you arrive, complete the check -in formalities at your tourist resort. Embark on a wildlife safari in the afternoon. Enjoy an overnight stay at the resort in Bandhavgarh.

DAY 15
BANDHAVGARH

All of day 15 is for wildlife viewing at the park. You can opt for a jeep or an elephant safari. During your safari, you may spot animal and bird species like Wild Boar, Jackal, Fox, Muntjac, Black faced langurs, Porcupines, Vipers, Cobras, Hyenas Red Wattled Lapwing, White Breasted Kingfisher etc. Also visit the Bandhavgarh Fort. If the legends are to be believed, this fort was erected by Lord Rama, when he was coming back from Lanka after defeating Ravana. Enjoy an overnight stay at the resort in Bandhavgarh.

DAY 16
BANDHAVGARH – KANHA

Begin driving to Kanha National Park. On reaching, complete the check- in formalities at your lodge. This national park has been the inspiration behind “The Jungle Book”, a popular novel by Rudyard Kipling. In the evening, participate in a wildlife safari into the park. Enjoy an overnight stay at the resort in Kanha.

DAY 17
KANHA

From morning till evening, enjoy a wildlife safari into the park. Kanha is home to a great population of Barasingha (Swamp Deer) that is also called as ‘Jewel of Kanha’. During your safari, you spot various kinds of animal species such as Tiger, Indian Porcupine, Sloth Bear, Wild Boar, Hyena, Gaur, Indian Wolf, Flying Squirrel, Greater False Vampire and more. Enjoy an overnight stay at the resort in Kanha.

DAY 18
KANHA - RAIPUR

Today, after breakfast, hit the road to Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. Once your reach, check- in your hotel. The rest of the day is free for leisure activities- explore the nearby surroundings on foot, visit the market or the city’s attractions, relish the local delicacies etc. Enjoy an overnight stay at the resort in Raipur.

DAY 19
RAIPUR – DELHI (BY FLIGHT)

Get on-time transfer to the airport to board a flight to Delhi. On reaching, get transferred to your hotel to freshen-up and relax. After dinner, get transferred to the airport to board a flight for your onward journey. The tour ends with the sweet memories with Delightful India Holidays.
